Milan and its look to the future

Curious metropolis Milan: it’s not a place that you discover easily.

First of all a place of business and efficiency, the economic capital of Italy and among the cities with the highest rate of voluntary work.

An exciting 2015 has captured the attention of the world thanks to the Universal Exhibition Milan Expo 2015.

Today we find it second to none for cultural and art spaces, it has had in recent years an evolution also architectural of some reborn neighborhoods, starting from Porta Nuova.

Become a hub of broadcasting and unavoidable production center of the entertainment world since the 80s.

Milan is recognized throughout the world for fashion, luxury, design.

The so-called “Golden Quadrilateral” composed by Via Montenapoleone, Via S. Andrea and Via della Spiga, it’s the luxury destination for tourists from all around the world: here reside the major luxury brands, which have made this crucial point their votive headquarters.

From here come to life and inspiration the collections of Giorgio Armani, Dolce & Gabbana, Prada, Versace.

Here also the pastry production becomes luxury with Pasticceria Cova.

Not to mention the jewelery sector (Breil, Stroili) and accessories (Italian Independent).

The elegant  parlor of Milan instead is identified in the Vittorio Emanuele Gallery.

The structure promoted by Carlo Cattaneo (Enlightenment exponent of the Five Days of Milan) that extends from Piazza Duomo to Piazza della Scala.

Today has embraced the cause of the fashion industry by hosting behind the windows of the shops the most representative stores names, from Armani to Prada, from Versace to Gucci.

La Scala, metropolitan cultural symbol is a followed worldly event at every premiere and undoubtedly one of the world’s temples of opera.

The Duomo of Milan, Catholic trace of Gothic style, dominated by the characteristic golden Madonnina, has a large impact structure that dominates the most central square of the city and around which every day gravitate thousands and thousands of people.

And yet … and yet you must live it to discover it, understand it, know how to appreciate it and then grow fond it to make it your home even with the flaws of a current metropolis: traffic and density of population that does not fill the contradiction of the great modern cities to have sometimes some relational difficulties.

The most efficient of the most populated cities in Italy, that in the last 10 years of city government has neglected less then in the past the green areas with greater attention to parks, starting from Parco Sempione, the historic and picturesque green lung of the center.

And the Cave di Baggio, beautiful well-maintained park and populated by many species of trees, crops and animals: from the ducks of the ponds to great tits, buzzards and robins.

The challenge for the future is to insist on the development.

Economic crucial center and example of modernity (research, architectural choices, integration) and quality of life and services (from the recycling to the public transport and the social assistance services).

Milan is launched in the future and the future is now looking to Milan as an example.
